Website: Its my Right to be Left of the Center

I protested the Vietnam War. I assumed we had learned a lesson from that horrible event in our history. WE DID NOT. I will rail against the neocons with the last breath within my body..or until we,the people run the country again.

The Terrorism Index, what the experts say about the Shrub's GWOT

Foreign Policy is a great online site. I read it weekly. They have teamed up with The Center for American Progress to survey 100 of the leading foreign policy experts, both Democrat and Republican, regarding the "War on Terror" and how its going for the Shrub's administration. You can read the entire article here: http://web1.foreignpolicy.com/issue_july aug_2006/TI-index/index.html

The scope of the survey: "Terrorism Index is the first comprehensive effort to mine the highest echelons of America's foreign-policy establishment for their assessment of how the United States is fighting the Global War on Terror. Our aim was to draw some definitive conclusions about the war's priorities, policies, and progress from the very people who have run America's national security apparatus over the past half century. Participants include people who have served as secretary of state, national security advisor, retired top commanders from the U.S. military, seasoned members of the intelligence community, and distinguished academics and journalists. Nearly 80 percent of the index participants have worked in the U.S. government--of these more than half were in the executive branch, one third in the military, and 17 percent in the intelligence community."

Swing Voters-This is the most important poll of this Election year

I believe this is the single most important poll of this Election Season. It's worth a few minutes of your busy day to stop and read this in its entirety. It states very clearly, that large segments of voters are willing to change the status quo this November under defined conditions.

I was invited to participate in a conference call held by USAction.org Thursday, June 29th. For those of you unfamiliar with USAction, they are a non-profit organization that campaigns to strengthen social, economic and health security for all Americans. Recently USAction's Education Fund was selected by Working Assets as one of 50 nonprofits eligible for funding in 2007. They are a legitimate group with a strong commitment to progressive change in this country.
